INNOCM — Innovation Capability & Maturity

INNOCM — the Innovation Capability Maturity framework — provides organisations with a structured, evidence-based method for diagnosing, developing, and sustaining their capacity to innovate. Where most organisations treat innovation as an event, INNOCM treats it as a discipline: one that can be measured, improved, and embedded across every level of an enterprise.

The framework maps an organisation's innovation capabilities across five maturity levels — from ad hoc and reactive, through to optimised and continuously improving. At each level, INNOCM identifies the specific competencies in leadership, culture, processes, and resources that must be developed to advance, providing a clear and actionable roadmap for transformation.

"Innovation without discipline is just luck. INNOCM turns the unpredictable into the systematic — and the systematic into the exceptional."

◆   Innokai Consulting

Aligned with ISO 56002 — the international standard for Innovation Management Systems — INNOCM operationalises the standard's principles into a practical, three-phase cycle of Exploring & Defining, Analyzing & Enhancing, and Exploiting & Assessing. This cycle is not linear but iterative, feeding continual learning back into organisational strategy.

Innokai applies INNOCM through structured assessments, facilitated workshops, and bespoke capability-building programmes. Our interventions are tailored to the organisation's current maturity level, sector context, and strategic ambitions — ensuring that every step forward is grounded in where the organisation genuinely stands today.

Phase 02
Analyzing & Enhancing

Phase 03
